How often have I heard people say that they wished they could start reading Hebrew. For many people it is often in the \u201cwish I could\u201d basket. However, for something to really happen, it needs to be in the \u201cI have to\u201d basket. Unfortunately, when something is only a wish, it more often than not, does not eventuate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many people have the deep desire to read Hebrew, but are simply not sure how to start the process. As like all goals in life, this particular needs to be a definite goal. Fora person to achieve the goal, it needs to be a S.M.A.R.T goal. S.M.A.R.T is an acronym for simple, measurable, achievable and within a time frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here is an example of how to implement the S.M.A.R.T goal method to read Hebrew. The first step is to work out what the goal is. The goal is to start \u201creading Hebrew\u201d. At this point the goal should not be to translate the whole Torah. Keep the goal simple, just learn to read Hebrew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next part of the S.M.A.R.T goal is \u201cmeasurable\u201d. The person needs to decide when he\/she wants to achieve the goal of reading Hebrew by. It needs to be given a tim to read Hebrew now? If not, maybe it needs to be put on hold until it is the right time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRealistic\u201d is the next part of goal setting. Is the goal realistic? Can the person be reading Hebrew in the time frame allowed? There is no point setting the goal of starting to read Hebrew in 1 week, if it is not realistic or achievable. Finally, \u201ctime frame\u201d. The student needs to set a time frame as to when the goal of reading Hebrew will be achieved by; to set an end date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It may seem to be a very difficult to set the goal. But if one follows the S.M.A.R.T goal, then reading Hebrew can be achieved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
